What educators are saying

Thank you so much for sharing this resource! I admire and appreciate your time and planning. This is an easy to use resource and I found it useful and appealing to the eye. I will be using this again in the future, so thank you again for your hard work and creativity!

Description

Theme is my favorite thing to teach because of what it reveals to the students about life. It can be very tricky to teach, however. I have worked to put together an easier way to teach theme by using 5 easy steps.

**Please Note**
-- The Powerpoint doesn't have any fancy fonts or graphics. I am worried these won't translate well to other peoples computers, so I have focused on content. It is entirely editable though, so you are more than welcome to add your own! :)

--- I realize "courage, honesty, friendship, etc.. are not "THEMES". However, I practice introducing theme using just "universal ideas" or topics such as courage, honesty, etc... THEN I use a graphic organizer to walk the students through creating an actual *statement* that explains the theme. You will see this example in the Powerpoint. I find it is easier to introduce students to theme in this way. :) (It is all included!)
