What educators are saying

This was the perfect activity to give the students an extra bot of practice and to move around. I set it up in the hallway, which they think is great. Activities like this give students a chance to TALK MATH! I believe this is very important when learning math. Thanks for the resource.
I used this resource at the end of Precal when I started doing some Calculus concepts. This engaged my students and they got to practice limits in a fun manner.

Description

Students will practice finding limits of functions using tables or a graphs with this scavenger hunt activity. This activity includes polynomial, rational, absolute value, exponential, radical (square and cube root), trigonometric, and piecewise functions. One-sided and two-sided limited are included. Limits at infinity are not included.

Simply print the 16 problems and scatter around the room (and in the hallway if possible), give each student a recording worksheet, group students, and assign them a place to start. The answer they get will lead them to their next problem. They continue looping around until they have completed all 16 stations. Be sure to have students record the letter at each station so they activity is easier to grade.

This activity works very well in conjunction with my PreCalculus Introduction to Calculus Unit. In particular, it's a great review for Quiz 12-1!
