This is a great classroom management tool!  I love having a few minutes to take attendance before jumping into class.  Buzzers work like bell work or journal writing, with a little twist.  The “Buzzer” is the writing prompt.  This packet includes 270 prompts on various financial topics, so you can be picky and choose the ones you like best since there are extras.  THERE ARE ENOUGH WRITING PROMPTS IN THIS ONE BUNDLE TO LAST THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR!

How I Use Buzzers:  On Monday, students are given what I call a Buzzer form.  I keep them either in their student folders in a file cabinet or in a specified location in the room.  Each day when students come to class, they retrieve their Buzzer form on their own.  The Buzzer is displayed on the projector.  Students enter their responses to the prompt, then prepare for class.  When I am ready to start class, we quickly review and discuss their thoughts and feelings on the topic, then transition.  I usually copy each week's Buzzer forms on different colored paper to help keep weeks separate.  They are collected and turned in on Friday.
