This is the Mock Oscar Master Ballot Cheatsheet & powerpoint presentation for Film Study using the Oscars as the base. This goes with the Mock Oscars Notes & Ballot that my students will fill out as we go through the notes and my master cheat sheet (in case you don't know the movie)

Some times I will fast forward or not play the whole clip - I can also talk and add more information to award category. This lesson is also good for those TEKS where the kids have to be apple to express an artistic criticism using theatre vocabulary on performance.

The last slide is where we talk about the bonus assignment "Your Oscar Acceptance Speech", I tell my students to choose a category and write an acceptance speech as if they won. They get up, we all applaud, if their speech is too long I will even play the "get off the stage" music.
