Figurative Language Task Cards: BOOM Cards (Set 1)

These figurative language task cards are paperless! They are part of the new Boom Learning platform. Students just need an iPad or a computer, and they can complete these task cards online. They are even self-checking!

This set includes 24 task cards that focus on figurative language. They will allow your students to practice identifying examples of figurative language used within sentences. The literary devices used include similes, metaphors, alliteration, onomatopoeias, personification, hyperboles, and idioms. After reading each sentence, students will determine the literary device from multiple choice options.
