Making Learning Relevant

Students will practice identifying each type of FL, explaining their knowledge of how they identified each type of FL, and explain the figurative meaning of the text - ALL using popular song lyrics!! This activity will assist students with the following types of figurative language:

• Idiom

• Simile

• Metaphor

• Hyperbole

• Personification

• Alliteration

• Onomatopoeia
