Great Introduction to Figurative Language
Need a simple and engaging way to introduce figurative language to your students? Look no further! This introduction includes popular song lyrics that show the following types of figurative language:

• Idiom
• Simile
• Metaphor
• Hyperbole
• Personification
• Alliteration
• Onomatopoeia

Embedded Music
Each type of figurative language is defined, and song lyrics (along with actual musical clips of those lyrics) are embedded. There are two examples for each type. All examples have been clipped for appropriate lyrics.
