Description

This Figurative Language Toolkit includes different tools and activities to use to supplement your unit on Figurative Language. Both Printable and Digital formats are included for in-person or distance learning.

Figurative Language Posters

These posters are great for displaying on a bulletin board for students to reference. These bright, eye-catching posters include definitions and examples for each type of figurative language. You can also share digital versions of these posters.

Student Note Pages

These student note pages are a great way to introduce each type of figurative language. Student define each type, explain examples, find examples of their own, and draw or insert a picture to illustrate one example. Printable & Digital versions are included.

Figurative Language Quilt Project

For this activity, students choose one example of each type of figurative language to illustrate and create a quilt!! This activity makes a great cumulative project to use at the end of your figurative language unit! One-page printable and digital versions are also included.

Figurative Language Book Search

Students can use this tab book to record examples of figurative language that they find while reading. Printable & Digital versions are included.

Jamboard Templates *New

These Figurative Language Jamboard Templates can be used for to share examples of different types of figurative language as a class. There is an EDITABLE definition at the bottom of each template. Students can use the Sticky Note option to write and post their own examples.
