Description

Figurative Language
Chorus
Bring it back Bring it back I’ve got the knack
Making magic words happen like 4-stacks
I’m a bank and my words are so honey
Figurative Language broker and grade-money

Metaphor
Meta-ONE, Meta-TWO, Meta-THREE, Meta-PHOR
Everybody listen up cause your ear is the door
Your eye is the window from which you can see
Words are the lock and your mind is the key
Raise you hand if you’re stuck in paragraph pain
Well come along with me on the Metaphor train

Similes
Boring sentences are dumb so let’s join the fight
Similes coming like a bomb boom!, dynamite!
As chill as ice my words are so cold
Livin’ large like a boss, ya just got told!
Singing like a bird these rhymes are so right
Bounce to the beat like hydraulics at night

Personification
I’m feeling sorry for the stone sitting all alone
Doesn’t have a friend or even have a home
Feeling lonely and sad laying on the sand
His feelings are hurt no one will hold his hand
Giving feelings to an object is Personification
Give that rock a hug and he’ll have elation

Alliteration
Terrible Tom took a treacherous trip
Singing super silly songs on a sailing silver ship
Carrying crystal clear carrot diamond rings
Drifting down to dangerously dreadful dreams
Forever forgetting his future destination
Starting words the same is Alliteration

Onomatopoeia
Boom snap beep bang tap
Onomatopoeia is where it is at
Ding dong there’s someone at the door
Knock knock knock I wonder who it’s for
Onomatopoeia is the word for this
Try to say it fast and you will miss

Hyperbole
You can try all your might to step to this
I’m so hard-core my face will break your fist
It’s like I’ve told you a million times
I’m the best in the world at writing rhymes
When I Hyperbole I exaggerate
But when you come at me you’re a century late

Idiom
Last but not least is the Idiom
My mouth is sometimes like a loose cannon
When I say that actions speak louder than words
I’m all up in your face and you just got burned
I’m out of the blue I’m over the top
This is where it’s at x marks the spot

Makin’ pictures in ma mind with the way that you write
Figurative Language bringin’ skills to a brand new height
Using words like a fire in my mind ignite
Put your brain to the test makin’ assignments ‘aight
Settling for old skills is no way to live
So step up to the plate and make it figurative
