What educators are saying

Bundle is laid out super neat and accessible! I tried this with my grade 4's and wouldn't recommend. However, I do see it being super resourceful for older grades (6+)! Will definitely keep in my resource kit for future grade changes!
Continuing to love Lessons for Learning activities/ products. My kids are engaged, focused, and learning. Thank you again!

    Description

This is the perfect no-prep reading comprehension activity to start in your classroom for either digital learning, distance learning, or in-person instruction. Use the Seminars resource to help students read, understand and discuss non-fiction texts chosen by you or them (articles not included). Use the Literature Circles resource to help students develop their reading comprehension and text analysis skills.

Both are perfect for developing deeper-level thinking and inferencing strategies for upper-elementary or middle school students.

Please note: the articles & novels are NOT included but I have included suggestions!

    SEMINARS:

    What's Included?

    • Introduction Slideshow (to introduce Seminars to the students)
    • Teaching Plan - this will help you understand how to implement in your class
    • Seminar Schedule & Roles (a pre-created schedule that tells students what role they will be each week. All you have to do is enter the student's names and the rest is done for you!)
    • Printable Seminar Worksheets (each role has a worksheet that tells the students what they need to do and gives them space to complete the work)
    • Digital Seminar Workbook (all role worksheets are included here in a digital format)
    • Google Form for Facilitator Meeting Minutes (this is for the students to fill out for one of the roles)

This resource includes EVERYTHING you need to implement this in your classroom, from start to finish. Want more info? Check out the highlights on my Instagram here.
