What a fun way to learn about the feudal social classes during the Middle Ages in Europe! My students love this feudalism activity. First, students read a two-page Medieval European social classes close reading that includes primary source excerpts about feudal life and the importance of the church. Then, students get into groups and compete against each other in a displayed class game board in Google Slides or PowerPoint. Each advancing slide has one of ten comprehension questions about the social class informational text.
In a fun, creative close, students that answer the most answers correct in class get to choose a number that reveals their hidden destiny as a person alive in that era. The students get to read aloud who they were and details about their lives!
