Description
This bundle includes a Meet N’ Greet, Decoding of Brutus No. 1, and Quote Throw Down review game.
Use the Meet N’ Greet to introduce students to the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists or as a review activity. Students will meet 10 different people and identify if that person would have been a Federalist or Anti-Federalist. This lesson includes a quick reading explaining the difference between Federalists and Anti-Federalists.
The Decoding pushes students to read and analyze Brutus No. 1 while practicing the historical skills of:
- Sourcing
- Purpose and Perspective
- Cause and Effect
- Change and Continuity
This product also includes "Decoding Task Cards" and 4 different suggestions on how to use these cards to help students collaborate on the assignment. Once students have annotated, summarized, and answered questions about the document, they take a quiz on the material. This quiz is designed to reflect PSAT higher order thinking questions.
Finally, in the Quote Throw Down review game, students evaluate a series of 12 quotes pulled from various primary sources and determine whether the author is a Federalist or an Anti-Federalist.
