What educators are saying

This was a great end of the year activity for my 4th graders who wanted to do something for their dads since we had sent home Mother's Day presents. It kept them engaged at a tricky party of the year.
We had fun filling this out for Father's Day! I appreciated the different headings, but would love one that says "step-dad."

Description

This is a SIMPLE, no-prep, print-and-go Father's Day project. Your students' dads will love this! Simply print and walk your students through the "newspaper." You can staple it, bind it, or glue it on a big piece of construction paper to emulate a real newspaper. Laminate it, and he'll treasure it forever!

Need other options? No problem!

Grandpa is included in this product now, too, as well as uncle and a generic "Someone Special" version for students who may need any of those options.

(Read this blog post to see how I do my newspaper projects.) Enjoy!

INCLUDES:

* 2 areas for stories about dad (1 of which is prompted)

* 7 blank boxes for pictures

* "FATHER" acrostic poem

* Diamante acrostic poem from "My Dad" to "Me"

* 6-square comic strip

* Character trait checklist

* "WANTED" ad

Going paperless? This resource is now available for digital use! This download includes a link to access the digital document on Google Slides that you can share with your students to complete digitally.
