What educators are saying

Love Webquests. They are always challenging and enjoy listening to the conversations and comments while doing this.
Assigned this on a day where I was unexpectedly absent. It was a great introduction to these people and lots of great ways to explore their learning.

Description

This WebQuest takes your students on a trip in history to explore 4 famous scientists that had an important role in Electromagnetism. These scientists include: Hans Christian Oersted, Michael Faraday, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla. Students will visit websites to gather information about each scientist. There is no need to search for websites; links to student-friendly websites are included in the WebQuest document. Additional links are included for each scientist to allow students to view examples of the scientists' work. Next, students will listen to a picture book that talks about famous notebooks from scientists in history. The last section of the Webquest asks students to create a journal entry pretending to be one of the scientists they learned about.

All data can be typed directly on the WebQuest. If posting this assignment on your Google Classroom page, you can choose "make a copy for each student" or allow students to work in virtual groups to gather their information. The options are endless!

Resource is a Google Slides document. Fully editable to work best for your students!
