This "My Family Heritage Project" writing activity is perfect for sharpening your ESL students' vocabulary and writing skills, while creating a one-of-a-kind research project that showcases the beautiful uniqueness of your ESL classroom! This fun and exciting project allows students to choose from eight different research topics to include within their project. It also includes extra writing pages for each topic, as well as a photo and pictures page for students to brainstorm ways to make this research project uniquely their own. For even more writing practice, you can have students type their writing pieces and print them before gluing them on their poster board. If you wanted to take a more tech-savvy approach, you can have students create a computer-based slide show with music and animations. There is also an EDITABLE invitation, so that you can make presentation day a day to remember by inviting the principals, other classes and teachers, and parents to support your students as they present their research projects!
