Description

The perfect Autumn Math Activity that your students will adore!

This Place Value Math Activity is an awesome way for your students to show their knowledge of place value by representing a three digit number in standard form, expanded form, word form, and unit form. In my class, I had each student roll a dice to generate their three digit number. You may do this as well, or pick a number for each student or have them pick their own number. In this activity, I included two options. Option #1 does not have the place value recording form on the body of the acorn because you can either attach it to the bottom, or glue it along with the acorn on a larger piece of paper. Option #2 is the option I went with with my class. It uses a little less paper and has all of the number information/recording sheet on it. All I needed to print out was page 3 for option #2. Students have multiple opportunities to get creative with this craft while practicing important facts. Use this product as a bulletin board/classroom display or as a fun math craftivity.

Included in this download:

(1)PDF Acorn Clipart

(1) Blank Acorn

(1) Acorn with OTH Chart & Recording Form on it

(1) Separate recording forms

I suggest printing on cardstock, colored paper, or printer paper and then laminating for durability. My acorns were printed in white cardstock then colored in with marker and crayon.

This Acorn Place Value Math Activity drawing and writing were hand drawn by me on Procreate for iPad.
