What educators are saying

Super cute and engaging! I love this for my sped students—they love interactive presentations! This is so fun.
I love this!! I have used this in K and 1st as a fun game after some seasonal stories during library!! I am so glad you have 2 versions! They are always sad when the game is over!

Description

Mix up the Halloween fun of trick-or-treating with a bouncy little fall poem... and what do you get? A guessing game that will definitely engage your littles! Here's how it works.

"Knock, knock, knock... sounds like more... trick-or-treaters at my door!"

Show the first slide. As the students chant the poem along with you, they can only see the TINIEST glimpse of a trick-or-treater approaching on the edge of the slide. So, they begin to guess... based on what they see... WHO (or WHAT!) is about to visit Grandma's door to get some candy? Is it a ghost? A pirate? Maybe a princess or a mermaid? (Make them justify all guesses with evidence from the slides!)

After your students have made a prediction or two, let the rest vote to see if they agree. Finally, reveal the answer on the next slide as "Grandma" says,

"I open the door and who do I SEEEEEE??? A ______! All dressed up for Halloween!

So simple, but SO much fun! Be sure to look at my preview for more details.

❤️❤️❤️ A TREAT FOR YOU!
My preK-1st grade students love this game so much that I have used it as a good behavior reward for many, many Octobers! Although they loved playing the same version over and over again, I was honestly getting kind of tired of it!! (So surprise... I've created a new version!)

In this resource, I'm giving you BOTH games -- rather than just one! Happy October from one fun-loving librarian to another! (If you've already purchased this resource... just re-download to get the new version!)

Thank you for previewing with me today. Please follow That Library Girl for new resources, surprise updates like this one (WOO HOO!) freebies, and flash sales! ;)
