Instructions:

(1) Choose any number of students to play the roles of the children

(2) All other students are pumpkins in the patch. Instruct them to find their own sitting space in the room.

(3) Play the recording. The "children" will wander around the patch as the pumpkins sing the song and pat the beat.

(4) At the end of verse, each child will choose one pumpkin to bring "home". (Home can be any pre-determined area of the room.)

(5) The round continues until all pumpkins have been chosen.

(6) Choose new children, instruct all pumpkins to find their own sitting spaces in the room, and a new round begins!

*Consider providing percussion instruments for pumpkins to play after they have been brought home and are awaiting the next round.
