Factoring Quadratic Expressions Reference Sheet

Students need a lot of support and help when it comes to learning AND retaining the ability to factor quadratic expressions. There is a lot for a student to navigate. This reference sheet is a great way to help a student that is struggling, introduce the topic, or provide to students that might be a little "rusty," on their skills.

The reference sheet has two pages. The first page works like a flow-chart, walking students through the different factoring techniques and skills they should be familiar with. This starts with looking for common factors and negative leading coefficients and works through guess-and-check for quadratic expressions where a is NOT 1 and c is negative (you know, the tough stuff).

The second page is an alternate method of factoring when things get "ugly."
