Description

This is a game where two teams battle it out to see who can factor monomials the best. They can do the work on the board or at their desk, but whoever selects the correct answer first does not have to do the challenge. The challenges are fun and your students will have a blast.

Use the structure of an expression to identify ways to rewrite it. For example, see 𝘹⁴ – 𝘺⁴ as (𝘹²)² – (𝘺²)², thus recognizing it as a difference of squares that can be factored as (𝘹² – 𝘺²)(𝘹² + 𝘺²).
