What educators are saying

This has been a great lesson for my students! They have been able to grasp the difference between fact and opinion. Thank you so much!
This was a great resource! I used it for it for review at the end of the year, and my students were able to complete it independently and in groups!

Description

Practice determining between fact and opinion with your whole class using this fun, interactive slideshow!

Each slide contains three statements that the students will have to determine which one is either the fact or the opinion. The animations show the question, then the statements, and finally the answer.

NOTE: This resource uses American English and is not editable.

This would be a great activity to use with the whole class. Students can answer verbally, on individual whiteboards, with sign language (A,B,C), or on notebook paper. It could also be used with individuals at a computer. This will work well for review and test prep.

These slides match exactly with these fact and opinion task cards!

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ "Kids loved this powerpoint. It is simple and effective way to go over the concept quickly as a warm up or revision. There are a couple of mistakes in a slide or two but can easily be changed." -Sarah B.

✏️ "We used this as a game on our second day of learning about fact and opinion. My kids thought it was lots of fun as they tried to "guess" which was correct. There was some content not all 1st graders knew, like about the Titanic, but I just explained so it still worked great!" -April E.

✏️ "A great addition to the task cards to enable children to identify the difference between fact and opinion. Wonderful resource!" -Liz G.
