Fable, Myth, Fairy Tale, Tall Tale, and Legend Creative Writing Unit

This is a reproducible handout or packet of information about Fables, Myths, Fairy Tales, Tall Tales, and Legends. This packet includes information and examples of each type of story. It also includes short writing assignments for each type of story as well. Students can either create a Folktale collection which will include each type of story or do these projects individually. Each story can be illustrated with drawings, paintings, magazine pictures, computer generated pictures etc.

This assignment can be modified for grades 7-12 and can be used in a Creative Writing or Language Arts class.
