Description
This reading strategy checklist is a simple, effective way to have students keep track of what strategy they are focusing on during their independent reading time.
How I Use it:
After introducing and practicing many reading strategies with my students (usually by the 2nd half of the school year), I have students use this independent reading strategy checklist to ensure they are switching up which strategy they are focusing on as they read. I have graphic organizers available for them to choose whichever strategy they would like to work on during independent reading time.
