What educators are saying

I love this activity for for introducing the orff instruments to my beginners! My students have had so much fun with it!
This was a great way to introduce my kiddos to Orff instruments, which are a new addition to my classroom!

Description

This activity is designed as a fun way to explore the barred instruments and an introduction to composing. The lessons will take your classes through a unique journey to an 'amusement park' as students explore all of the sounds they can make on their instruments. Then, students are asked to create their own trip to the amusement park using some of the sounds from the lesson (worksheets included!) I use this lesson at the beginning of 1st grade to help students become comfortable with the instruments and to explore different sounds.

Includes:
-PowerPoint presentation
-PDF copy of Powerpoint
-Suggested lesson plan
-Beginning composition activity (printable worksheets)
