Description

PreKeys is an innovative, developmentally appropriate keyboarding method for young students that familiarizes them with the computer keyboard. Based on Whole Brain and Whole Body learning theories, PreKeys’ objectives align with NAEYC standards for child development. While exploring patterns on the computer keyboard students also learn valuable Language Arts and Math skills such as patterning; alphabetic and numeric sequences; and uppercase/lowercase letter recognition.

PreKeys provides the perfect preparation for developing little fingers and young minds before introducing speed and accuracy drills. These 31 Lessons in 9 Units suggest a live teacher, not a computer graphic model. A computer keyboard for each student, without computer monitors, is suggested. You might also consider using the "unplugged" vinyl keyboards found at https://www.prekeyspond.com/shop
