Explore Oil Pastels

This lesson includes 7 different ways to use oil pastels. The videos talk about how to use oil pastels in the following techniques; heavy pressure, light pressure, color mixing, stippling, scumbling, sgraffito, and blending with oils. The lesson is formatted in a way that is ready to show students. The first slide talks about the set up for the page students will be exploring on. They can use sketchbooks or the included handout. It will lay out the materials needed for the oil pastel techniques. Each video is separated as to allow teachers to give work time in between broken down lessons. the Estimated time for work completion is one hour.
