Description

Celebrate National Fitness Month or enhance your unit on the human body systems with this activity that highlights how exercise helps improve the human body's overall structure. This activity has print and digital options that walk students through the function of ten body systems, how they work together to maintain homeostasis, and how exercise helps to strengthen, keep the body healthy, and protect it from diseases.

  • How exercise helps to improve the functioning of the body, strengthens it, and protects it from diseases

This human body lesson on exercise includes:

  • Sneak Peek into My Classroom: Learn how I use this activity in my own classroom
  • Digital Google Slide link of the following activities
  • Five printable worksheets on the human body systems explaining how each of them works together and the effect exercise has on the body systems
  • Two graphic organizers
    • One to summarize how each body system works with another to maintain homeostasis to keep the body healthy and safe
    • The second organizer will have students explain the effects of exercise on the body system.
