What educators are saying

I used this product with a Success Skills class. I did modify this slightly to make it easier to follow for my students and created some worksheets for them to use with the powerpoint.
My students enjoyed being able to work through this independently. Sometimes standing talking to them for 50 minutes can feel really long and tiring and I think this gave us a nice break in our day! It gave them the ability to work at their own speed!

The following is lesson is part of my executive functioning skills lesson series.

What are executive functioning skills?

Executive functioning skills are the skills you need to be a successful person. These skills involve: planning, prioritizing, time management, working memory, self-control, metacognition, attention, task initiation, and perseverance.

Students who struggle in school often have weak executive functioning skills. In order to be successful in school and in life, students who struggle need to be taught these skills explicitly. I have created an entire course and curriculum at my school based on this premise, and have students to this day come back and tell me that the “real world skills” they learned in my class, help them as adults. (Over 90% graduation rate for students who take my class)
