Explore how religion, architecture, the arts, and famous American foods such as pizza are examples of European influence on America.
What’s it all about?
Students go on a web quest to explore the European exploration of America. Then, they work in small groups to examine the influence of European culture in America.
What skills will students learn?
● Students will learn to conduct research, take notes, outline, and record source information.
● Students will reinforce reading skills as they learn how to identify main ideas and essential details.
● Students will learn historical information.
● Students will gain oral communication and technology skills.
Suggested Grade Levels: 4 – 7
Recommended Duration: 1 - 2 weeks
How will students show their learning?
● Students work in small groups to give PowerPoint presentations.
