Europe Social Studies Project- Top Ten List

This project is a fun way to get the students to learn about the culture and geography of some of the countries in Europe. I like to consider it a "twist" on creating a travel brochure. Instead the students research and create a "Top Ten List" on why people should visit their particular country. I created and used this project when I taught 6th grade and the students loved it! They had fun researching and creating their posters. The students also had to present their list to the class in a short presentation. Some students during their presentations dressed up, brought in foods to sample. They were very interesting!

I have included in this download, my original poster project. I also included a second version, which instead of a poster, the students create a Powerpoint presentation. You could use both to differentiate the activity depending on your students' academic needs. Each version has a rubric and the poster version also contains a blank map which is a portion of the project. Enjoy the download!
