What educators are saying

Great resource. Students loved creating their own commericals. I made mine do a live commerical instead but it still turned out great.

Description

Fun way to end a unit on ethos, pathos, logos (Rhetorical Appeals). This can be used for up to 4 class periods, but could also be shorted down into 2-3 class periods if needed. Students receive a project packet where they choose something to be persuasive about (product or a cause) and they choose whether to create a short commercial, print advertisement, or speech! The project walks them through all the steps.

Project includes:

1. Directions for the project

2. Daily breakdown of what students have to accomplish

3. Brainstorming prompts to help them think through what they're product or cause is and how to appeal to their audience.

4. Reflection questions where they prove how they used ethos/pathos/logos in their project and reflect on the process.

5. Rubric

This project is ENTIRELY editable, so you can adjust as needed for the length of your class periods and the pace your students move at.
