- Understanding Different Essay Types (Expository, Persuasive, Literary)

- Mastering the Thesis

- Introductions

- Hook Sentences

- Body Paragraphs

- Incorporating Support Seamlessly

- Conclusions

- Final Comprehensive Essay Practice (Expository, Persuasive & Literary)

Dynamically informative and visual, each page of instruction covers a component (ie. thesis formation) and is followed by three practice opportunities; one for each of the three different essay types covered in the unit. The entire unit is organized so that students can work through each instruction portion and then promptly practice what they just learned. For teachers, this unit offers lesson material and engaging activities for their students to practice each component taught. The activities build off one another, so the students can create Essential Essay workbooks of their own to keep in the classroom or to take home to practice. Once complete the students will have written two of each of the different essay types (6 essays total).
