OVERVIEW
This Writer's Desk Revision Stations digital AND/OR print activity is a versatile resource for teaching writing and revision. These revision tasks will guide students through a thorough and engaging peer and self review revision process. This process is highlighted by six key areas of revision: introduction, copy editing, flow, word choice, organization, and conclusion.
Students are given background information for each area of revision. Then, they will have instructions for completing the step with a peer or individually. The background and instructions are editable, so you can adjust the tasks and directions to fit the needs of your students.
This resource also includes a Revision Decision checklist for each student. The Revision Decision component helps students with organization and provides accountability for the revision task. A station or task card format works well with this writing and revision activity because the teacher will be able to conference with students as they work through the tasks. Students will be engaged in the revision process, and their work will show it! (This also means easier grading!)
Now, this activity includes an interactive digital stations option too! This resource is ready for print or digital use. A Google Slide digital version is included, and directions are included for downloading it as a PowerPoint. Alternatively, this activity works great a print activity!
These stations take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
