Description

This escape room is intended to be used to help students, staff, or school faculty learn to work together as a team. This is a great activity for both the classroom or for professional development with teachers and staff. This is a fun back to school activity. The activities in this escape room are intended to be fun and not so much about classroom skills. Participants will work together to solve a variety of puzzles, riddles, and sorts. This escape room is paper based and does not use technology or locks.

✽Task 1 – Riddle – Participants will read the riddle and try to determine the relationship between to people. (Think family tree) Participants will write the desired relationship on their answer sheet.

✽Task 2 – Math puzzle – Participants will put together a puzzle to reveal the math problem (this step can be skipped if you do not want to cut out the puzzle). Participants will then choose a number and read a set of math instructions. They will work out the math on their answer sheet and come up with a final number.

✽Task 3 – Sort– Participants will sort out 18 noun and verb cards. They will then unscramble the card letters for the nouns only to make a specific desired word. participants write the unscrambled word on their answer sheet.

✽Task 4 – Secret Code– Participants will use a symbol code to uncover the secret phrase. Participants will write the desired phrase on the answer sheet.

✽Final task – riddle – Participants will read a riddle and try to determine the number that fits the criteria. They will then write that number in the desired location on the answer sheet.

This escape room does not require technology or lock boxes. You just need the ability to print and cut for this activity.
