What educators are saying

My students worked on this activity with a partner. They were engaged the entire time! I overheard a lot of math language and problem solving. I will be using this resource for many years.

Description

Designed specifically to help students grasp the concept of deriving the equation of a line from two given points, this hands-on activity promotes learning how to write the equation of a line from 2 points in an engaging way. Minimal setup along with easy-to-understand instructions make it an ideal activity for independent learning or substitute teaching days.

Included are 12 puzzle pieces, each asking students to determine the equation of a line from the points given, plus an answer key. Students cut out the pieces and match them, together based off of their calculations.
