What educators are saying

Absolutely AWESOME lesson! Students were engaged and enjoyed working in small groups for a Gallery Walk! Thank you!!
I used this resource in my AP Euro class to help students better understand the contributions of Enlightenment thinkers. This paired perfectly with our lecture and supported student understanding.

Description

In this Enlightenment stations resource, students analyze five stations on the Enlightenment philosopher such as John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Rousseau, Montesquieu, and Voltaire to learn their influence on the Enlightenment and how we see their influence still today. This activity is designed to be used as stations (either text or QR code based) to teach students how John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Jean Rousseau, Baron de Montesquieu, and Voltaire influenced the Age of Enlightenment. Each station is unique in that it also details how each philosopher's views have impacted the United States!

Students complete an engaging worksheet as they navigate through the different Enlightenment philosophers. As they travel, students analyze key quotes, understand how these thinkers impacted the movement, and finally detail how they have impacted life today. Stations can be used as text based, or you can easily integrate the included QR codes to turn this into a QR code based activity (document are already hosted online)! This product is now 1:1 Google compatible -- just share through Google or assign via Google Classroom!

A full key is included!

Enjoy!

This lesson is included in the Causes of the American Revolution Unit as well as the Age of Absolutism Unit Bundle!
