Description

Drama type FUN charades game for the whole class to enjoy! This game reinforces knowledge of action verbs (simple present tense) and associating an action to a word. Great for english second language learners, brain breaks or sub work.

I used this game in the class to teach the children about action verbs. Often, by doing, students remember more. My kinesthetic learners LOVED this game.

Suggested Use

30 flashcards included

Cut flashcards and place them in a small box or container for students to randomly pick out. As the teacher, I would sit at the front of the class with the box, and have a volunteer student begin. He/She picks one card from the box and acts of the verb. Then, the student chooses a classmate to guess the correct verb. The classmate that guessed correctly, get a next turn to act out the verb.

This game is engaging and lends itself to allow all students to participate, even the shy ones.

I also have used this game while subbing as a time filler. Works very well if you have 10-15 minutes left to spare.
