Description

This summer escape room breakout activity is designed for kids aged 10 and up. It is a printable activity that can be used for all subject and content areas, making it versatile for school, summer camp, girl scouts, boy scouts, summer enrichment classes, or home parties. The activity promotes teamwork, critical thinking, communication skills, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way.

In this immersive breakout, the kids are stuck on an island and have to solve several challenges before they can leave. It begins when a mischievous parrot tells them stories of the pirates who roamed the island’s shores, and then proceeds to play a trick on them by locking the keys to their ride in a trunk. Kids will then learn all about the mysterious world of ciphers.

This activity is the perfect solution for teachers in need of quick prep end-of-year activities, summer camp counselors seeking to deliver unique experiences, scout leaders looking for engaging team-building exercises, and parents searching for fun rainy day activities.

❤️ WHY WILL YOU LOVE THIS RESOURCE?

This escape room is the perfect solution for anyone seeking an engaging activity. Ideal for teachers needing a quick end-of-year activity, summer camp counselors looking to create a memorable experience, scout leaders on the hunt for team-building exercises, or parents in need of a fun activity for a rainy day, this product is designed to meet a wide range of needs.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO SUPPLY?

All that is needed is a printer to make copies of the tasks.

Unlike other breakout activities, you don't have to go out and buy expensive locks and boxes, because everything is just print and go!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE ?

Completing the entire escape room will probably take about 30-50 minutes, depending on the participants’ ages and skill level. The extension activities can take as long as you’d like.

Please Note: Kids will not have to leave the room. This is NOT a scavenger hunt. It is also not completed in stations, so there is NO risk of kids all bunching up at the same station.

WHAT MAKES THIS ACTIVITY SPECIAL?

It is interactive and immersive. YOUR students are directly involved in the story. This is perfect to use for an observation, to set up for a substitute, to use as an end of the year activity, to use as a review, or to use on any day that you want to relax and watch your students have a blast AND learn together with a team!

Please come back to let me know how much you've enjoyed this!
