Description

This PowerPoint discusses the positives and negatives of Jealousy and Happiness. Discussions and topic pages are made for both emotions.

  • Happiness is good for us. It makes us smile and feel good.
  • Happiness releases endorphins which put us in a good mood.

There is an odd-one-out game where students have to find the scenario that doesn’t fit with the rest.

How do we act differently when we are happy?

We tend to smile and engage in laughter.

We are more open and social.

Guess the emotion? Jealousy.

  • The boy on the right is feeling jealous of the boy on the left getting all the attention because he wants to have that.
  • He may be feeling left out and excluded

Reactions

Good reaction:You stop and think about the situation and see if there is anything you can do. Perhaps you can move yourself out of the situation or ignore it. You try not to let it ruin your mood.

Bad reaction: You keep thinking about how much better it would be to have what they have. Your mind keeps going back to it and now you're feeling down because you feel you can’t do anything to improve the situation.
