Emotions + Positive Behavior Supports: Activities + Resources for Special Ed.

This bundle includes a range of resources designed to support positive behaviors and to teach students about emotions and coping strategies in Special Education classrooms, early intervention or while working with individual students in a mainstream, early childhood setting. Positive Behaviour Supports:

-First and Then boards, a range of sizes and colours.

-Movement, sensory break and emotion visuals with choice boards. Often our students challenging behaviours are a result of a real sensory need. Teach them to request these breaks with these visuals. Great for students with limited verbal communication.

-Rewards charts to be used with picture visuals (Superhero, Mermaid and Monster themes, each with different colours and characters)

-Red and green choices interactive book to introduce the different types of choices we can make when faced with tricky situations at school. 21 pages, students select red or green choice for each page.

Emotion Teaching Resources:

-Emotion worksheets and activities (54 pages) Includes 15 emotions. Teach your students to recognise and deal with their emotions.

-Coping Strategies Interactive Book. 11 emotions have been included (angry, frustrated, sad, silly, bored, excited, worried, shy, confused, disappointed and embarrassed). Each page features a clear clipart image and a short paragraph that describes the emotion and some common body reactions related to that emotion. For each page students choose two coping strategies they can use to help them cope with that emotion. I recommend using this product in a 1:1 or 1:2 setting as strategies will vary between students.

-3 Emotion Interactive Books. Covers the basic emotions of happy, sad and angry. Two levels of difficulty included. Please note some images from the Red and Green choices interactive book are repeated in this set.
