Description

Presidents Day Emergent Reader! Here's a George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Barack Obama NO PREP Read, Write, Trace, & Draw Craft!

Each mini book page can be folded into fourths to form cute little mini books. Great for centers! The front has expository reading. The inside has a space to trace a sentence. Then, write that sentence independently. On the back, they can illustrate a Presidents Day fact.

Graphic organizers are also included: (3 blank and 3 annotated )

Presidents Day Book Directions: Just print, fold in half (hamburger style), and then in half again along the line. The President is the cover, and the drawing portion ends up as the back cover. The 2 writing pages are inside.

Directions: With PreK or kindergartners, I use an elmo to project the book onto a screen. I read it to them. We talk about unfamiliar words and what to do. Then, I pass them out. We re-read them together, trace, write, read the last fact, and draw

Appropriate for grades: Pre K, K, 1st, 2nd, preschool, kindergarten, first, second
