What educators are saying
I love these posters. I printed them full-sized and I think next year I will print two to a page because the full-sized is too big for my little word wall. Otherwise, these are thorough and effective. My students refer to these posters often when learning their new words.
This is exactly what I was looking for! It fits the curriculum that I use in my classroom! Its colorful, easy to read and useful for my students.
Description
Need a way to introduce and practice your science vocabulary words? These word wall and practice cards are just what you need to make the definitions stick with your students. This product has four files aligned to the Elevate Science textbook: two files for the Florida edition and two files for the National edition.
Every science vocabulary word for the entire 4th grade year is shown on large, clear cards that contain the word, the definition, and an visual example. Each unit's vocabulary has a different color background, making it easy to keep your word cards organized. The cards also come in an ink-saver grayscale version without the colored backgrounds.
You can use these vocabulary cards on your word wall. Or you can cut the three sections apart to make a fun and engaging matching game for a science station.
This packet also includes both half-page and quarter-page size versions of the black and white cards that would be perfect to put in your students' science journals or interactive notebooks. Print the small student cards two-sided, cut apart, and staple to make a little science glossary.
This product includes two files for all the vocabulary words used in the 4th grade Elevate Science National edition. The National version is divided into these units:
Topic 1: Energy and Motion
Topic 2: Human Uses of Energy
Topic 3: Waves and Information
Topic 4: Earth's Features
Topic 5: Earth's Natural Hazards
Topic 6: The History of Planet Earth
Topic 7: Structures and Functions
Topic 8: Human Body Systems
