Use these elementary writing rubrics for narrative, opinion, and informative pieces. This resource includes rubrics for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. There are 9 rubrics for each grade level in 3 different options. Choose from student-friendly, teacher-friendly, and time-saving options. Plus each rubric is based on the Common Core Standards. Try these with genre-based writing prompts for narrative, personal narrative, informational, and opinion writing.

• A quicker assessment that saves time by circling the number
• Aligned with the standards but easier to use and understand

*A total score is intentionally left off of these rubrics, but feel free to write it in the upper right-hand corner if needed.
