Elementary Social Studies Special Education Curriculum Bundle

This Elementary Social Studies Special Education Curriculum Bundle contains 39 social studies units for students in special education following the extended content standards and taking alternate assessments.

These units were created using the extended content state standards and are specifically for students who:

• Have an intellectual disability
• Are early or non-readers
• Lack prerequisite skills
• Benefit from picture support
• take alternative assessments
• elementary school

Each unit is supported with a book (PowerPoint) to teach the necessary information as well as group and individual activities.

The similar format will help to reduce students' anxiety as the activities will be familiar to them, allowing them to focus more on the content than on how to complete the activity.
