Description
Looking for a music game for your elementary music lesson that will reinforce aurally identifying quarter note, quarter rest and 2 eighth notes? This music activity is an excellent addition to your music lesson plans or anytime you are working on reading rhythm.
Engaging elementary music game for centers, whole group instruction, music sub tubs or distance learning! Perfect addition to your Orff lessons and Kodaly lessons while addressing reading music! Plus, it will work on tablets and Web Browsers!
The resource is included in a bundle: Interactive Rhythm Games {Yum Yums Bundle}. Click on the product link or the preview button for additional details. Consider purchasing the bundle to save money!
The product contains 15 student interactive slides. Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will click on the furry monster to hear a rhythmic pattern. They will then click on the candy that matches the rhythm they hear! Students will know immediately without leaving the page if they were able to determine which rhythm was played or if they need to listen again. Watch their eyes as small baby monsters appear and eat the candy when they are correct!
A QR Code is also included. Print or project the pdf flyer so students can easily scan and play the game.
Two assessments plus answer key's are included as a separate document and link so you are able to formally assess students on the concept in a later lesson. The assessment document includes:
★ 2 student tests assessing 1 measure or 2 measure rhythms. You have the option of printing in color or in black and white.
★ An assessment key
★ A sample slide of the student test. Instead of playing the answer on an instrument just project the slide on your board and access the sounds by clicking on the monster using the PowerPoint or the shared link!
An excellent observation or assessment tool to see which students might be struggling with the concept.
