    Description

    This product contains 76 (32 can be used as quick exit tickets) music assessments for grades K-5. The assessments cover a wide range of musical concepts and may be given to students as each concept appears in your lesson plans throughout the year.

    NEW: This product now includes both a digital and print version of each assessment. This means that you will be able to upload each assessment to your online platform or send a link for the product via email and have students complete the worksheets from their computer (students need a free Gmail account to receive the product link via email). Check out this page for information on how to use the TPT digital tool to create an assignment in Google Classroom (pages 10-20).

    Terms For Online Use: This product can only be used on password protected platforms and cannot be used in courses or groups that other teachers or administration have access to. Examples of acceptable platforms include Google Classroom and Schoology. Examples of non acceptable platforms include Outschool, YouTube, your district website, etc. These videos also cannot be emailed or shared with other teachers or with other homeschool parents.

    • 76 printer-friendly music assessments for kindergarten-5th grade music students (Each can be printed or used in Google Classroom)
    • Includes one cumulative assessment for each grade level which may be used as a pre/post assessment.

    Assessments cover the following musical concepts:

    Kindergarten :

    ~identify long vs. short rhythms

    ~identify the following rhythms: quarter note, quarter rest,

    two eighth notes

    ~draw the following rhythms: quarter note, quarter rest,

    two eighth notes

    ~identify the number of beats for quarter and eighth notes

    ~pair the number of sounds to the correct rhythm

    ~Identify the following instruments: sand blocks, maracas,

    conga drums

    1st Grade:

    ~identify beat vs. rhythm of the words

    ~identify incorrect rhythms

    ~match the number of sounds per beat to the correct rhythm

    ~identify the following opposites: piano vs. forte, presto vs. large, staccato vs.

    legato

    ~high vs. low

    2nd Grade:

    ~identify names of lines and spaces on the treble clef

    ~listen and identify the incorrect pitch

    ~identify the following rhythms: half note, half rest, whole note

    ~write the rhythm you heard

    ~match rhythms to the rhythm of various words

    ~draw bar lines in 4/4 and 2/4 time

    3rd Grade:

    ~identify names of lines and spaces on the treble clef

    ~identify the following rhythms: sixteenth note, sixteenth rest, eighth rest, half

    note, half rest, whole note, whole rest

    ~identify the number of beats and name of various rhythms and rests

    ~complete the measure in 4/4 time

    ~identify the following intervals: Major Second, P4, P5, Octave

    ~compose a two-measure melody

    4th Grade:

    ~identify names of lines and spaces on the bass clef

    ~identify the following rhythms: sixteenth note, sixteenth rest, eighth rest, dotted

    Quarter note

    ~identify the following symbols: repeat sign, tie, fermata, bass clef

    ~write basic rhythms and dynamics from shortest to longest

    ~complete the measure in 4/4 time

    ~identify the following meters: 4/4, 3/4, and 2/4

    ~read a recorder fingering chart

    ~compose a two-measure melody

    5th Grade:

    ~listen to a melody and write the missing pitch

    ~identify the following meters: 3/4, 6/8, and C

    ~identify key signatures

    ~identify the instrument family you heard

    ~musical math (addition and multiplication)

    ~identify the following symbols: bass clef, treble clef, repeat sign, sharp, flat,

    natural, fermata, double bar line

    ~identify the following intervals: P4, P5, Octave
