This W.3.4, W.3.5, and W.3.6 third grade editing and publishing writing unit includes lesson plans, writing papers, rubrics, and assessments perfect for making your Editing and Publishing Writing unit a breeze. In third grade, students must peer edit, revise and edit their work, then publish their work with different formats, digitally and not digitally.
9 Lessons-
There are 9 lesson plans, which can be spread out over the course of 3 or 4 weeks. You may choose to teach this unit at the beginning of the year as a full unit, or place these lessons sporadically throughout your Narrative, Opinion, and Informational Units. There are many activities within each lesson plan, which should take you about 2 or 3 days to complete each. The lesson plans are scaffolded to gradually teach the process of editing, revising, and publishing their work.
