What educators are saying

My son loved this activity! I thought it might be a one and done but he did it every day for a week. He completed it faster each day. I have a kindergartener who will be using it in the future!

Description

This packet contains a Pretest/Review and a Final Exam. Both tests contain 56 items covering material covered in a typical Algebra 2 course. Tests are in both pdf and Word format so you can make changes.

The Pretest/Review items are open-ended. Two forms are included; one that is 6 pages, leaving room for students to show work, and one is 3 pages to save copying costs. It includes worked solutions in pdf format that can be displayed so students can check their solutions and work.

The Final Exam items are multiple choice for quick and easy scoring at the end of the school year. These items match the order and content of the Pretest/Review. An answer key is provided.

I recommend giving the Pretest at the beginning of the year, saving it and handing it back for the students to redo at the end of the year. Display the worked out solutions on your projector and you have a handy review for the end of the year ready with no preparation on your part. Give the easy scoring Final Exam at the end of the year.
**This packet should replace about 4 days of class preparation time!**

Topics include: solving multi-step equations, compound and absolute value inequalities, graphing lines and absolute value functions and inequalities, solving systems of equations, operations with complex numbers, rationalizing denominators, solving quadratic equations by factoring and completing the square finding the discriminant, operations with polynomials, factoring, composition of functions, finding the inverse of a function, simplifying and operating with radicals, simplifying rational expressions, solving exponential equations using common bases and logarithms, converting between logarithmic and exponential equations, generating and evaluating arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, converting between degrees and radians, and using the laws of sines and cosines.
