What educators are saying
Description
In this exciting digital escape room game, students must hunt through the Poe Museum to find clues that will unlock a hidden artifact. Students will be captivated as they play immersed in a digital 360 degree view room.
When students get into the escape room, they will be greeted by creepy music and fun interactive puzzles. Volume is a must for this game! Students will start at the "Start Here" button on the front door and work their way through the numbered locks.
A pleasant surprise awaits as students enter a second room to do lock number 4.
This is a great activity for teachers to implement, because all you need are laptops, computers, or tablets! Students will have fun working solo or in pairs to solve the puzzles and unlock the locks. Some of the puzzles involved include a matching game, jigsaw puzzle, listening comprehension, informational text reading comprehension, and a hidden message.
Included with this lesson:
- Teacher instructions
- Answer key
- Digital escape room
- Student note taking sheet to keep track of answers to locks
- Student reflection sheet
**NOTE** Before purchasing this game, make sure you have access to jigsawplanet.com, Google Sites, flippity.com, Google Forms, Google Slides, and YouTube.
Before you share the digital escape room with your students, it is highly advised that you play through the game under a computer that contains the same IT restrictions students have on their computers. This is a very important step. You will want to be able to use your firsthand knowledge to help students through any frustrating parts, and you will want to be able to ensure all the game features work. If there are any sites that cannot connect, you will want to talk to your IT department to help your students gain access to these sites before they can start playing the game.
Enjoy playing the game and give my product a review!
