Description

I use this activity in my 6th grade geography classes to help simulate trade between nations, trade barriers, and NAFTA.

It's customizable to fit your needs and creativity. I suggest printing the materials on something like cardstock and laminating it, for durability through the day.

  1. Explain how specialization encourages trade between countries.
  2. Compare and contrast different types of trade barriers, such as tariffs, quotas, and embargoes.

  4. Explain the functions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
